1. Hegra (Mada'in Salih): The crown jewel of AlUla. Hegra was the second city of the Nabataean Kingdom (after Petra in Jordan). You will find over 100 monumental tombs carved directly into massive sandstone outcrops, incredibly well-preserved in the dry desert climate.
2. Dadan & Jabal Ikmah: Explore the capital of the ancient Dadanite and Lihyanite kingdoms. Jabal Ikmah is an open-air library featuring hundreds of ancient inscriptions and rock art.
3. AlUla Old Town: A maze of tightly packed mud-brick and stone houses dating back to the 12th century, offering a glimpse into recent centuries of Arabian oasis life.
4. Elephant Rock (Jabal AlFil): A natural sandstone monolith that perfectly resembles an elephant with its trunk touching the ground. It's a spectacular spot for sunset viewing.
5. Maraya Concert Hall: The world's largest mirrored building, reflecting the stunning desert landscape around it.

How to Get to AlUla

AlUla is remote, but infrastructure has rapidly improved.

• By Air: Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz International Airport (ULH) receives direct flights from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Dubai.
• By Road (Premium Transfer): Many travelers combine a spiritual trip to Madinah with a heritage trip to AlUla. The road trip from Madinah to AlUla is about 330 km (3.5 hours). Booking a premium SUV transfer is highly recommended for this route to ensure utmost comfort through the desert highways.

Getting Around AlUla

While there are shuttle buses connecting major tourist sites, having a dedicated private chauffeur ensures you can explore at your own pace, especially given the vast distances between sites and luxury desert resorts (like Habitas or Banyan Tree).
